Mtskheta is an ancient capital of Georgia and religious heart for every Georgian. Not officially called “The Second Jerusalem”. It attracts pilgrims and lovers of ancient architecture from all around the world. During the tour we will visit Jvari Monastery (6th ) which stands on the top of the mountain with a picturesque view to the biggest Georgian rivers Kura and Aragvi.
Svetitskhoveli temple (11th century) where is buried the Tunic of Christ, piece of the cross on which Christ was crucified, also there saves the relics of Andrew the First Called, graves of famous Georgian Rulers and lots other interesting shrines.
Gori City where was born one of the most famous Soviet rulers Joseph Stalin . There is the museum on his honor . Museum represents more than 60 000 exhibits, including personal Stalin’s belongings. There is a home where he was born on the territory of museum and a carriage which Stalin used in time of travels to Yalta, Tehran and Potsdam.
Uplistsikhe is an ancient cave town which was founded about 1000 BC and finally emptied only in the 19th century. The uniqueness of the object is that it has retained the remnants of religious buildings, wineries, living caves, throne halls, secret halls for thousands years.
